Last updated: 7 August 2026
Beyanlab Laboratuvar Ürünleri Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi (the “Company”) attaches importance to informing visitors about personal data processing activities carried out through cookies used on www.beyanlab.com (the “Website”).
This policy explains the purposes for which cookies are used, their legal grounds, retention periods and how visitors can manage their preferences. The Company acts as the data controller under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) with respect to personal data processed through cookies.
1. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small data files stored on your device through your browser by the website you visit.
Depending on their functions, cookies are used to enable the website to operate, maintain sessions, remember preferences or measure website usage.
2. Types of Cookies
Cookies are classified into the following categories according to their purposes. The cookies actually used on the Website are specified in the table in Section 3.
Strictly necessary cookies:
These cookies are strictly necessary to carry out electronic communications or provide the website services you explicitly request.
Functional cookies:
These cookies remember preferences such as language and display settings. Functional cookies that are not strictly necessary and require explicit consent are used after obtaining your preference.
Analytics cookies:
These cookies help measure page visits and website usage. Analytics cookies for which no valid processing ground other than explicit consent exists are used only after obtaining prior explicit consent.
Advertising and marketing cookies:
These cookies are used to personalise advertisements or measure their effectiveness. Activities in this category that require explicit consent do not begin before consent is given.
3. Cookies Used and Their Legal Grounds
Cookies process data such as cookie identifiers, session information, preference records or usage information. The scope of the information processed depends on the function of the relevant cookie.
For strictly necessary cookies, processing is based, depending on the specific activity, on the condition under Article 5(2)(c) of the KVKK that processing is necessary for entering into or performing a contract, or on the legitimate interests condition under Article 5(2)(f). Where processing relies on legitimate interests, care is taken to ensure that processing is necessary and does not prejudice your fundamental rights and freedoms.
For cookies based on explicit consent, the legal ground is Article 5(1) of the KVKK.
4. Explicit Consent and Cookie Preferences
Cookies requiring explicit consent are not activated before your consent is obtained. You can set your preferences for these cookies through the cookie management panel.
Visiting the Website, navigating between pages or reading this policy does not, by itself, constitute explicit consent.
Rejecting cookies that require consent does not prevent you from using the Website’s basic services. However, certain optional functions may be unavailable.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
5. Browser Settings
You can view, delete or block cookies through your browser’s privacy and security settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect certain website functions. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you must also use the preference management tool on the Website in addition to deleting cookies through your browser.
6. Data Transfers
Personal data processed through cookies under this policy are not transferred abroad.
7. Retention Periods
The periods for which cookies remain on your device are explained in the table in Section 3. Session cookies are deleted when the browser session ends, while persistent cookies are deleted when the specified period expires.
The period for which a cookie remains on your device may differ from the retention period for personal data obtained through that cookie. Personal data are retained only for the period required by the relevant processing purpose and applicable legislation. When all conditions requiring processing cease to exist, the data are deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
